About Me

Hi, I’m Meghnad! I’ve worked as a journalist for the past nine years, as a reporter and editor in digital and television newsrooms.
In August 2024, I completed a Master’s in Data Journalism at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in New York City and currently work as a full-time reporter and Delacorte Fellow at Columbia Journalism Review.

Conducted an investigation which revealed that a fund allocation of around 12 million USD announced by the Indian Prime Minister's Office, purportedly towards development of a COVID-19 vaccine, was untraceable as per government records. Read and watch the full story here.

The Making of Lynchistan – Killing in the Name of the Cow
Reported and produced a documentary unravelling the infrastructure which facilitated groups of cow vigilantes to turn into murderous mobs attacking men from India's minority Muslim community. The documentary featured interviews with vigilantes who revealed the modus operandi of the lynch mobs. Watch the full documentary here.
